Summary

Websy is a service that collects and stores intentional User interactions with web pages. Websy needs no personal information from Users to provide this service. Websy needs cookies to remember logged-in Users. Websy may aggregate anonymized interaction information from many Users (not account information) and display the results publicly. Websy may use the services of third parties to keep track of general website analytics and audiences of the Websy website itself.

Terms and Definitions

Websy.pro (also “the Service” or “Websy”) is an online service which collets interactions of registered Users with web pages. The Service is provided by Vast Impact FZE, P.O.Box: 7072, Umm Al Quwain, UAE (also “We” or “Us”).

A User is any individual who engages with the Websy website or with the official Websy browser extensions.

Goals of the Service

The primary goal of the Service is to provide Users with a tool to record their opinions of individual web pages on various web sites. A record is associated with each User’s Websy account and kept on Websy servers so that it can persist across any web browsers and devices where the User is logged in with her Websy account.

A secondary goal of the Service is to summarize Users’ opinions and to generate anonymous aggregate reports of all Users’ activity.

Personally Identifiable Information

The User is required to register an account with Websy to utilize the core Services. No identifiable information is required during the registration process. Full functionality is currently available without the User needing to provide any identifiable information.

A valid and active email address is required during the registration process. This email address is not displayed to nor shared with any third parties, including any other Users. The exception to this rule are, naturally, technical infrastructure providers such as the web hosting provider or the database services provider. This email address is primarily used for sending confirmations of account changes and any other required communication. This email address may be used for misuse or fraud detection.

If the User’s email address (required for registration) contains the User’s real name, the User acknowledges that Websy will keep this email address on record until the account is deleted (upon the User’s request), banned (at the discretion of Websy), or permanently disabled (for any reason).

The IP addresses of server requests are anonymized and/or hashed during server processing and they are never permanently stored in their plain-text form.

User-Generated Data and Logging

The primary purpose of the Service is to store a record of each User’s interactions with the Service. These intentional interactions are stored in relation to each User account.

In order for the Service to function correctly, the URL of any visited web page where Websy is enabled will be sent to Websy servers to check against the User’s record, but only when the User is logged into Websy at any point while the web page is open. These visits may be anonymized and stored for analyses and statistics even if the User does not interact with the page in question. Visits to web pages are not stored when no User is logged into Websy.

User-generated data may be used to create summary reports of overall User engagement with Websy. These summaries shall not be traceable back to the activity of any individual User.

Logging is used for debugging purposes, for visitor analytics, and for performance tracking.

Cookies

The Service uses cookies to identify a logged in User across her interactions with the Service and across browser session, when applicable. These cookies are only available to Websy servers and tracking by third parties is disallowed. The Service will not add value unless its cookies are allowed by the browser. Logging off clears the Websy cookie from the browser.

Third Parties

Visitors to the Websy website may be counted and analyzed by industry-standard methods for performance analyses and statistical purposes. This data helps Us improve the Service for everyone.

Third parties do not have access to individual User interactions. These are exclusively kept on Websy servers.

Websy Browser Extensions

Websy browser extensions simply provide the Websy functionality to all web pages, even those which do not yet integrate Websy natively. The functionality provided by the extensions is guided by the same privacy principles as are all interactions with the Service.
